This hollow form is made from American chestnut with a certificate of authenticity from a tree now nearly extinct across North America. The wood for this item specifically came from a tree planted in 1871 by J. Sterling and Caroline Morton in Nebraska City. The item is approximately 8" high and 4" wide at its widest.
